He's bacccckkkkkk

Last night, my boo, Chris Paul made his way back on the court to join his New Orleans Hornets in their slaying of the Dallas Mavericks. He's been riding the bench since January after injuring his knee. He started off pretty shaky, missing two 3-pointers in the 1st quarter and it had me worried for a minute but my man proved himself finishing up with 11 points and a couple of assists. I think his team was excited about his comeback too because this was their first win in like 3 or 4 games. I can't wait to see him play Lebron (double yum...lol) and Kobe (thumbs down) sometime next week. Too bad he probably came back too late in the season to secure a play off spot for his team but don't worry, there is always next season and you know I'll be watching ;)

Where amazing happens

I have a confession to make, this isn’t easy for me but I LOVE the NBA, there I said it. I heard some of you gasp from behind your PC’s and Mac’s but I’m tired of hiding it. I’m ready to confess my undying loving for the game. Ok, ok yes I’m the same girl that would sigh throughout the entire game then got extremely annoyed watching Sports Center right after but now I understand why men are so obsessed.

At first watching basketball was just a way for me to spend time and bond with my dad but I found myself tuning in when he wasn’t around. Don’t think I’ll be going around spitting stats, knowing all the players on the team rooster or have my TV on Sports Center non stop, but I am now a fan. I will be on the edge of my seat waiting to see if that 3 pointer at the buzzer will change the result of the game. You’ll hear my “Oooooohhhh” after seeing a magnificent dunk. You’ll see me clap when a layup is done with style and agility. I’ll be chuckling when the players entertain me with their handshakes and dance moves. I’ll also be kissing my teeth when I see Kobe give his smug expression. The Cav’s are playing the Nuggets tonight so it’s time to go. Don’t worry Grey’s Anatomy lovers, I’m DVR’ing it…lol.
