There is no shame in my game. I'm in love (well lust) with Mr. Tremaine Aldson Neverson aka Trey Songz. I remember the first time I heard him on the radio. It was his answer to R.Kelly's Trapped in the Closet. I instantly fell in love with his soulful voice which reminded me of R. Kelly's. When his first CD, I Gotta Make It dropped in 2005 (I had just moved to Tampa), I copped it and it never left my car! My two favorite tracks off this CD are Comin for You and All the Ifs. Next up wasTrey Day and Missin' You and Can't Help But Wait were on constant repeat. Between these two CD's it bothered me that my man wasn't getting the recognition he deserved. Who else had his swag, his voice, and his look (esp his look...lol). But finally the world has seen what I've been saying all along, Trey Songz is the man! His new CD Ready is his best yet, both lyrically and on the charts. I've seen him develop his own style, identity and original sound after a period of emulating other R&B artists before him. He has also matured with his lyrics. This time around he's a lot more subtle when describing sexual situations and acts and a lot less corny, less cliche, and just less lame. I hate that he hasn't gone platinum yet!!
So yes I'm a self proclaimed Trey groupie. I have never seen him live but I really want to. He's performing at the end of the month at the Roseland Ballroom so whoever wants to go hit me up because I want my chance to scream and throw my hands in the air when he asks, " Which one of yall going home with Trigga?"....lol
lmao...forreal..throw your hands up though!
